I'm super glad to have taken part in the seminar Arts for Social Inclusion, held in Cyprus from 5th to 10th December 2024.
I must say it has been an intensive fantastic experience. We were representatives of 12 countries: Cyprus, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Czechia, Romania, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Bulgaria, Poland, Italy. From the very beginning we were all involved in the various forms of art and we experimented how they could have been inclusive. The trainers Renos and Inga gave us tips to be elaborated in a non formal way. Each participant had proposed a workshop using painting, collage, theatre, music, songs, physical exercise, storytelling , to learn how to express feelings, communicate and guarantee social inclusion.
All the workshops were very interesting, a fountain of ideas to share with youth workers in our organizations. I'll go back home with new energy, new tools to implement with our youngsters. The intercultural evenings have given to everyone the opportunity to go deep in our cultures through food, dances, quiz, games. We had also the chance to explore new NGOs and establish new contacts for future collaborations.
