REDEFINE YOURSELF

Project Summary
“Redefine yourself”… This international initiative will gather 24participants (youth workers, group leaders, educators, etc. working with unemployed young people) coming from Greece, Malta, Italy, Slovenia, Cyprus, Turkey, Latvia, FYROM, Romania and Spain.
  The main aim of the project is to create a hub for employability and personal development tools, methods and practices to be used by those working with young people (in any capacity: formal, non-formal, vocational, etc.) so as to support them in pursing different career prospects. This will be achieved by: • Improving the participants' competences required in facilitating personal and professional development of young people they work with • Providing space for sharing of experiences and good practices in the subject matter (here in particular: development of key life and employability skills) • Gaining first-hand experience in a number of personal and professional development tools  • Empower participants in acting as multipliers so as to build up to the experience gained during the project and having it spread to relevant stakeholders afterwards • Exploring possibilities for future cooperation among participants and partner promoters engaged. Participation in the project will also be the opportunity to widen up partners international networks and to make steps in the development of some future activities around the topic of employability and personal development (both local and international ones). Methodology of the activities will be based on the principles of non-formal education such as experiential learning, cooperative learning, shared responsibility, etc. These will be enriched with numerous practical examples of projects that have brought about change and success in the subject area as well as meetings with the experts and practitioners in the field.  The training will be involving partners interested in further increasing their capacities within youth work and supporting personal development of young people and youth workers alike.  Redefine yourself will take place in 26th  June / 3rd July in Zakynthos - and will be aimed at both evaluating the achievements and challenges of the past months, as well as looking at the ways of improving human and organizing capacity building of young people and youth organizations through new and innovative personal development tools . Here, participants will have the chance to share their own experience of using the tools learned during the training course and propose new ones. Also, training is envisaged as a space for developing future partnerships among those involved. These will be based on the ideas already developed within the project lifetime.  Based at the above we set the following objectives: 1.To support 24 yw in the acquisition of key competences and competencies with a view to improving their personal development;

2.To develop through NFL activities basic and transversal skills for the 24 yw, such as creativity skills in all fields of youth work; 3. To improve the level of key competences and skills for all 24 yw, with particular regard to their relevance for the labor market and their contribution to a cohesive and inclusive society; 4.To promote NFL as a for enhancing active citizenship and social inclusion through examples of activities that we designed for this TC (ex public speaking method); 5.To increase awareness about the power of Erasmus + programs for supporting entrepreneurship; 6.To help 24 yw to acquire high-quality Youthpass Certificates and create their own Europass CV; Τhe impact that we are expecting is that the participants will have the chance to exchange the views on their working methods related to non formal education, the 8 key competences and active citizenship, in their organization and in other countries.
  Being active participation in the exercises will be a stimulus for trainers to unfold a broader discussion on the concept of the power of non formal education and active citizenship in order to create more active citizens in our organizations and thus as a snowball effect more people will become as such through the multiplier effect. In general, it will try to show that learning opportunities exist in a wide spectrum of human activity and so it will reflect the rational behind the concept of life long learning which has been closely linked to the future of Europe as recommended in the Lisbon Strategy. Through this training course we will encourage the participants who in return they will encourage the young people in their organizations to understand the importance of self development as a tool to grow as a person and as a professional as well as a means to attract more young people to the organization, in order to have more active citizens. The project outcomes and results will be visible and will be disseminated to local and wider lifelong learning community. Among other we will assist participants to get a Youthpass, to create their own Europass CV and motivational letter and we will produce inspirational videos, booklets (with experiences, sessions, photos, reflections), newspaper articles, banners, tshirts, weblogs, small scale TC locally and new partnerships on related themes which will result from NGO bazaar and OST TOOL. Venue: Arrival: 26 June 2018 Departure: 03 July 2018 The Training Course will take place to Zakynthos.
